Lifting System For Precast Concrete
Precast Concrete Erection Process
Content
1. Pre-Erection Preparation
Site Readiness: Verify foundations are leveled with embedded bolts/plates positioned correctly.
Lift Planning: Sequence component installation (e.g., columns → beams → slabs).
Safety Zoning: Barricade areas under crane operation; assign signalers.
2. Component Receiving & Positioning
Laydown Staging: Place units near installation points using forklifts/trucks.
Rigging Setup: Attach slings to lifting inserts cast into the precast elements.
Crane Selection: Deploy tower or mobile cranes matching weight/radius requirements.
3. Lifting & Maneuvering
Lift Execution: Hoist units vertically to clear obstructions, then swing into position.
Anti-Swing Control: Use tag lines to stabilize elements during wind or movement.
Precision Guidance: Signalers direct crane operators via radio; lasers verify alignment.
4. Temporary Support & Alignment
Bracing: Install adjustable steel props to hold walls/columns plumb.
Shimming: Insert steel or polymer shims at bearings to achieve design elevation.
Tolerance Checks: Confirm positioning within ±3mm using surveying instruments.
5. Structural Connection
| Connection Type | Method | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Bolted | Tighten high-strength bolts through steel plates | Immediate load transfer |
| Grouted Sleeves | Inject cement grout into rebar sleeves | Creates monolithic strength |
| Welded | Weld embedded plates or rebar tails | Permanent seismic resistance |
| Mechanical Couplers | Threaded rebar connectors | Rapid column-to-column joins |
6. Joint Treatment
Weatherproofing: Install backer rods + silicone sealant in panel joints.
Fireproofing: Pack mineral wool at floor-to-wall gaps for fire ratings.
Architectural Finishing: Apply color-matchedural Finishing: Apply color-matched grout or mortar to exposed joints.
7. Post-Erection Protocols
Brace Removal: Detach temporary supports only after connections gain full strength.
Load Testing: Verify structural integrity (e.g., apply test loads to beams).
As-Built Survey: Document final positions for facility management records.
